It will depend on where your checking it. Dryer operating temperatures are usually tested at the dryer's exhaust port. 140°F-150°F is about average for the normal setting, medium around 130°F-140°F and delicate/low around 110°F-130°F.
A plugged, partially plugged or poorly installed dryer vent (see the following link) is the most common cause of poor drying in a dryer. If it is an electric dryer, it can often be tested for that cause by running a load or two with the dryer vent totally removed to see if drying improves or not. If it does, you can be sure the vent is (at least part of) the problem.
