I just framed in a baesment i used walminized wood for the bottom plateand regular lumber for the rest. The basement walls are made of concrete block and are backfilled. Im wondering now that i have insulated the walls with R13 kfaft faced , hung the drywall. Some contractors ive talked to said i should have put up plastic on the walls before insulaying, others said not to because you dont want to trap moisture between the plastic and the insulation. That if a little water seeps into the block it will dry out between the block and insulation.
