A jeweller applied crazy glue of some type to reinforce the post on my daughter's earring. The earrings are made of silver or some kind of silver metal. They have an opal (shaved, not a whole stone) in each one. They are very dear to her as her boyfriend brought them back from Australia for her. The problem is, the jeweller got some of the glue one the silver that shows. We would like to remove the glue without damaging the metal, and especially the opal. I'd take them back to the man who fixed them, but am not impressed with his work after all this, although the post seems stronger. Do you know of any mild enough remover of crazy glue? Thank you for your help.
