I am thinking of doing this myself, I did read in Country Living Magazine to paint your fireplace brick white, paint 2 coats with a brush and then the 3rd coat with a small roller for a textured finish. It did look beautiful in the before and after picture. Like you I am wondering what kind of paint to use. Tricia
