My dogs scratch the door. Alot. Luckily they don't weigh alot, so there aren't any deep marks yet. I am wonder if there is a product, like vinyl or ?? that can be stuck onto a wood or metal door in areas prone to this kind of abuse. I have tried training them, but as I am usually on the other side of the door then its not very effective - they stop briefly while I merely confirm their thinking...I AM on the other side - just where they want to be!
