How do I know if I have mold. I have been told that I have mold coming through my family room ceiling. I have a new roof and the are not visable leaks in the attic crawl space. I have been told that the cause of this mold is when building my house the wood used for construction got wet and now mold has developed in the rafters of my valted ceiling that I can't get to. there is a dark spot on my ceiling with round dark patches that look more like nail heads. I have lived in my house for 17 years. Is it possible that this could happen after all this time. Mo one is sick from it are has any effects at all.
