enclosing an existing porch

I would like to enclose an existing porch 14x34`. Porch has existing roof, concret floor. We live on the intercoastal waterway, and have winds in excess of 50mph often. We would like brick or some type of stone base with lots of glass and two doors. I`m pretty good at building things, but would feel better with some guidence on a project of this nature. Where would you suggest I start.
