Hi Tracy, what you need to do is turn on your heat, but also be careful. Get a towel, pliers, and or a screw driver usually a flat head. Or you can go to the hardware store and buy a key depending how old you are it looks like an old skate key. On the top of your radiator on one end there is a valve that has either a square nut (looking) inside, or a screw. You need to loosen what ever one you have and smelly air will come out. Then water will follow, be careful it could be hot. Just let a little water out and then tighten up your screw or what ever you have. And if everything works better and you need some moisture email me as I also handmake ceramic humidifiers for the cast iron radiators. Good Luck
