Metallic color help

I have never tried anything other then normal painting, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just drywalled my living room and can see what I want but don't know exactly how to do it.

I would like three of the walls with a base coat of metallic pewter - mineral grey - metallic grey color?? Not sure what it is called but my stereo and telephone are that shiny black/grey color.

Then, color wash, rag roll (uncertain of what it is called) a burgundy over top so you can still see some of the dark metallic through it.

Then I would like the ceiling and the one other wall just the solid metallic.

ANY IDEAS??? I keep reading about this simple metallic paint you just roll on but I can't seem to find it.

One more thing - how hard is it to paint over the metallic (for future reference).
