Hunter, code now requires a shutoff on dishwashers, which, at least in my area, can be a standard light switch in a box located in the sink cabinet. A good method for the disposal is to use an appliance pigtail with a plug on the disposal, with the disposal switch controlling a receptacle in the sink cabinet.
