Thanks Tom. We have actually already pulled up the tiles under several layers of other flooring. When we got to the original floor tiles some of them were completely loose and others just came up right away. There were some stubborn section where we had to take a hammer and chisel but not very much. The black stuff still remains on the floor. Do I need to get that black stuff up if I am going to put in pergo or other types of laminate flooring?
