Vinyl flooring stained by rubber-backed throw rug

Help! In an effort to protect our vinyl floor, we put down some bound carpet samples at the doorways to the room. Now the vinyl is stained yellow, beneath those pieces of carpet. Is there anything I can use to remove the stains?
