It will help some. The R value of an insultated garage door is not very high. If it's an attached garage and the walls/ceiling are uninsulated you will get a much bigger bang for the buck by insulating the walls and ceiling between the garage and interior of the home.
One other thing to check would be the seal between the garage door and home when closed. If there are visible gaps here it should be sealed appropriately. Garage door seals are availabe at the big box home improvement stores.
