We currently have a toilet / sink in the basement and are going to build a shower down there too. We have gutted the basement down to the block walls and slab floor. We are going to tear up the floor in the area for the shower to put in the drain and vent.
My question is in regards to the shower base / drain. How do I do this? Can I get a precast concrete basin or do I need to pour one when we lay down the new concrete? Or is there a better and easier way to do this?
The walls and ceiling will be wonderboard for the tile (and to prevent moisture from seeping through). I am totally lost on the base though. Thanks!
