Water softener: waterboss or R&M Manufacturing Posted by Raj Boppana on February 14th, 2003 12:19 PM
I am considering Waterboss 9000 and R&M Manufacturing CME-40/EM-48 models for water softener for my home. The home is preplumbed for water softener. I estimating that at peak usage 2 showers, 1 dish washer and 1 clothes washer may be on simultaneously.
The R&M models were suggested by AMPAM Christianson, who also did the plumbing, and come with lifetime resin and slat tank warranty.
The waterboss model, available at Lowe's is 50% cheaper and has builtin self-cleaning sediment filter.
How reliable are waterboss models? Will 10 GPM flow rate be sufficient for the usage I mentioned above? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
