on how secure your vinyl floor is and what it is layed on (wood, concrete?) and what vinyl is there now (Excelon commercial tile, cheap self-stick?). In my own home, I have not had any problems with the ceramic layed on sheet vinyl, but the vinyl is very secure on concrete slab. You should ask this question of a professional supply house with your own specifics. Luck, Kizmet
