...Dale, is the stripping method. Be sure you have a good set of wire strippers; don't use a utility knife. Using a knife or poor strippers will score the wire; this makes a weak point in the wire which can become brittle, or overheat. A scored 14 gauge wire is no longer a 14 gauge wire.
