may not be a good idea. standing water on your wood subfloor boards will make them swell and buckle. what type of wood boards are there, are they oak with a poly finish? sounds like it might be best to carefully scrape the glue off the floors with a putty knife or even a large floor scraper with a long handle you can buy at home depot. then you may have to have the floors refinished (e.g. sanded, restained and re-polyurethaned) good luck LJ
