Ask these people who say it can't be done how the hell it works in the summer time?
In the summer, your furnace does nothing and the chimney vents the waterheater.
My father replace his furnace 8 years ago with an efficient unit that doesn't use the chimney. His waterheater still does. How the hell does he do it if it can't be done?
