Hi, Bonez. Kilz is a great product but I much prefer BIN for comparable projects. The problem is that both of these are pigmented. I did not think that the original poster wanted a big patch of white in the middle of his floor, therefore the suggestion for shellac. There will still be a shiny spot but cutting the shellac by about half should let it get down into the concrete better than straight shellac. By the way, my daughter put a gallon of BIN on her new drywall today so you can see that we use what we suggest. Henry in MI
