My stepfather suggested the dry ice idea too, he's used it before and said it contracts tiles so they pop apart and up easier. We have these same tiles to remove, and the tar paper / black mastic underneath. Heard Murphy's oil soap and boiling water soaked for 1/2 hour, or peel-away paint remover left to soak for hours, result in easier scraping off of black adhesive. Any other advice you've heard?
