Keith, as far as I know, any solvent that will soften the glue will also eat the laminate. If you handle an X-Acto knife, Widget or single edged razor blade carefully, you should be able to remove it. One secret is to use a very low angle on the blade. If you do get scratching of the laminate, polishes are available from better hardware stores.
The commonly suggested solvent for superglue/Krazy glue/ACC is acetone, which is also sold as nail polish remover. I would not try that on our countertops.
