We are thinking of purchasing a vacation home in the Lake Tahoe mountains. The house has whitewashed oak cabinets in the kitchen and bath rooms. We would want to refinish these cabinets, remove the whitewash stain and get back to the natural color and stain a honey color tone. Is it possible and practical to undertake this project. Will the whitewash stain be deep into the grain and therefore we will not be able to achieve having beautiful natural oak cabinets.
