I installed a garage door opener but I'm having a little trouble figuring out the wiring for the wall switch that the builder left behind.
Owner's manual for the garage door says there should only be 2 wires (1 black / 1 white) coming out of the wall. However I have what looks like telephone wire coming from the wall...there are about 8 different colored wires. Is this a mistake by the builder? Any tips on how to properly hook it up? Thank you.
