And "Hi" to you jose, The best software for house design, ?? well,? what are you going to do with it,? If you want to design a house with all the specifications detail brick work, foundations and all that, then you will have to look at AutoCad 13 or 14 this program is at the top of the list in design software, but you will pay a lot for it, if you are drawing every day and need quality layouts the this is the program. But if you want to draw a shed for the bottom of the garden and with good detailed lyouts then I would look at two programs (1) Floorplan deluxe by IMSI, has lots of symbols with an estimator thrown in, the roof designer with this program is quite good, but no great detail, I think when you get use to the program, you can have a lot of fun. (2) 3D Home Architect deluxe is almost the same as Floorplan but a little up market, I find the roofing program a little hard to understand, but as I've said when you get used to it it maybe easy. There are other software products on the market like Autocad where you have a hell of a lot to learn first before you start. but 1 and 2 are simple to learn and use. Both programs are on the Internet so have a look and see what you think. John 2000
