You could iniatiate a contract pending agreement contigent on the results of the inspectors finding and that way the house is offered to you and might hold it if someone slips in a contract while the inspection is being done. Check it out but not with your existing realitor.
Cracks in homes are very common and most are settling issues, but its good anyway to check it out befor the big bucks go down.
