What does the inside of the flue look like, is there any soot in it? If it is black , i would say it the burner needs set up. You said it may run for a couple of weeks without resetting it, this leads me to believe that the primary control may be going bad. Without knowing critical information, like the cad cell reading or vacuum of oil lines it is hard to be sure. You should call a professional service tech to check it out. This is to BOB, why would you try and tell someone how to fix a furnace when you dont have a clue what you are talking about.
