I have a semi-flush light fixture to hang above my ceramic tile at my front door entrance. I don't want it to fall down. They say the two small screws that come through the bracket on the box and through the base of the fixture is all I need to hold it up. It doesn't seem like enough. Should I be putting the threaded rod that runs through the centre of the fixture base in through the hole in the middle of the bracket as well? It makes for a lot of turns and twisting the wires to get it in, as the wires run through the rod, but do I need this extra support? What is the right and safe way to do this?
