My dog got sprayed a couple years ago....3AM. Ugh.
Anyway, don't waste your time with tomato juice. I found something on some vet sites on the web.
Mix a couple bottles of hydrogen peroxide, a couple squirts of dish soap, and some baking soda.
Bath the dog in this (wear rubber gloves). Then give the dog a regular shampoo bath. After doing this my dog smelled fine. She happened to be white so she looked real clean. I assume the hydrogen peroxide will turn darker hair to an orange tint though.
As far as the house goes, open windows dooors, and light a bunch of scented candles. That's going to be the tough part.
