After a hard rain I'm having a standing water problem in my grade level laundry room. I would like to raise the floor level about 1". I can build a perimeter reservoir to contain the newly poured concrete. Quickcrete has a "paint-on" bonding agent that's supposed to help adhesion.
Questions: Will this new concrete layer have a lasting chance? How thin can I mix so that it self levels? Any other precautions/suggestions?
