my entire basement (18 1/2 x 19 1/2) got flooded last week. I tried to get as much water out of my basement for day and half with a vacumm I rented at the grocery store, then I call for a professional to have it dry out but they said that they needed to rip everything off and throw it away which they did. Now I'm afraid to recarpet the basement. I live in Maryland and lately we have had bad weather. How can I correct this problem or is ok to recaper or shall I consider another medim.
