I have a linoleum floor on 3/4" plywood subfloor in my bathroom. I want to install ceramic tile. Do I need to remove the linoleum? Is the subfloor thick enough? The tile weight is 700lb. The house was build in 63' will the joist support the weight of this floor.
If I have to put down more plywood/tile backer the floor will be too high for the refrigator to fit under the existing cabinet. What do I do about that?
What about the transition from the tile floor to the existing hardwood floor the connecting room?
Is the baseboard usually removed prior to installing a new floor? Any suggestions for getting it off without damaging the drywall/wallpaper?
