I am currently living in a pre war house which has its origonal plaster cielings and walls. I have so far managed to repair and patch the plaster in two rooms but the stairwell and hall way are in bad shape. I am unable to pull the old plaster down (due to the mess), I would therefore like some advice on putting new boards up and having it skimmed. The main problems are the doors and skirtings.
