I have a whole house water conditioning system on my well. The water has a lot of iron, maganese and the water is very hard. The water filter must be changed every two weeks and it is a very large one and is very expensive. The company told me I could use muratic acid to clean the filters and reuse them. I am concerned because I don't want that acid in my water and I don't know how to clean them without geting acid in the ground which will eventually go into my well. What do you think?
