drywall Ceiling Repair

I had a bathtub that overflowed in my upstair bathroom and leak through my kithen ceiling. the water leaked through the area where the drywalled was taped ( 8 feet long ). However, now the ceiling is discolored in this area. There is a small 3 inch area where the taping is showing signs of disbonding. I have a popcorn ceiling texture.
Any sugestions regarding repairing the taped area.
I have already realized that I have to paint my entire ceiling
