We just returned home after 5 weeks away and found our kitchen floor with water around the washing machine. Upon opening the top loading Kenmore washer, I found the bowl completely full and overflowing. This mystified me as I cut off the house water supply at the street before we left and opened faucets to drain the lines. How can the water get into the washer, without it being on, with the water cut off and why would it fill the entire bowl to overflowing?
