One of the best sites I've found for this type of wall, or deiling finish is http://www.crossfieldproducts.com/miracote/www/texture%20guide.htm I lived in Texas for years where this texture is used quite a bit. It's beautiful if done right. For best results spray on one coat, let it dry, and don't touch it. Spray on the second coat and knock it down. This stops the finish from smearing. If it smears...break out a sander cause you're gonna have to completely rework the wall. The site will tell you everything else you need to know. Lean a sheet of extra drywall against some saw horses and practice first. Do both sides to get the hang of it. Good Luck!
