rain dispersal systems

I am considering a rain dispersal system on the front of our house. We are on a small hill and the slope begins about four feet from the house. The hill is only ten or so feet high and slopes gently to the sidewalk My understanding of how the rain dispersal systems works causes me to think that they might be ideal or at least effective in my sitation. Any imput would be appreciated. thank you gregg
