In places, inner foundation stones have actually fallen into the basement. I have just begun real work on this house so I have not yet had a chance to find out how deep or thick the foundation rocks were originally, and so just how much tuck pointing needs or can be done to be effective.
It also seems to me there must be a cement (epoxy?) product that expands after curing which can be used to make a better and effective tuck pointing result. That would not only serve to fill the gaps better but also tend to push up on the house?
