We have a home built in 1955, on the waterfront of the Pacific. We need to replace the old 10" beveled wood siding and were wondering about replacing it with the Hardi Plank. Do you still have to paint this siding and would it hold up to the salt water and winds that we receive on our Island. Would you recommend this type of siding for us? If not, what would you recomment. We are seniors and want to get away from having to scrape and paint every year.
