small cig burn in carpet

I have a small cigarette burn in my carpet. It is a light brown/tan berber carpeting in the condo I rent.Whats the best way to repair it? I have some spare carpet in the garage rolled up I can cut from if need be. Is that the best way to fix it? what type of glue should I use?
