tomh.......great advice there - ceiling paints aren't as critical performance wise - they just need to be really flat - and have good flow properties - so they don't splatter.
As for colour - they aren't all the same colour of white. I do know for a fact that Lowe's One & Only is noticeably grey compared to the new Glidden ceiling paint @ THD.
