I can personally testify that Febreze, a product one finds in the cleaning section of a grocery store, works great! Buy the Extra Strength spray bottle, as that is formulated for carpeting. I had a bad situation with cat urine and didn't know what I was going to do, and Febreze worked wonders! No more odor. I swear by this stuff.
