My daughter and I are allergic to dust and need to pull the carpet from the basement bedroom floors. We don't want to spend a lot of money at this point and are looking for a temporary flooring until we put in hardwood. Ther is no vapor barrier nor subflooring now, just carpet and pad. We have considered ssolarian type flooring or stick on tiles and even paint directly on the concrete. I know they use cork flooring tiles in England. Would this be a possible solution? OH! a neighbor who is a dairy cow Veterinarian suggested the rubber mats used in cow barns under some luan and then solarian type flooring. Any suggestions or brainstorms?
