Here’s a home improvement tip everyone should know. Ground fault interrupters, or GFIs, are electrical outlets designed to automatically trip off if a fault occurs. GFIs are required by code for all residential bathrooms as well as outdoor outlets, but they’re a good idea for any potentially wet area of the house.
