Worked very well!

Worked very well!
Started seeing signs of a mouse 🐁 in the basement. Of all things, something had nibbled at a bar of soap 🧼 on sink top in laundry. I figured I’d better get a trap quickly so that I didn’t get an infestation of rodents or have any damage or disease spread, but I didn’t quite have the heart to kill the mouse if I could avoid it. I thought I’d give these a try. Put two traps out with pieces of peanut butter cookie in the bait compartment. Traps were easy to set. The next morning I had caught a young looking mouse. He was pretty terrified of course, but none the worse for wear. I took trap out to a woodsy spot about 1/2 mile away where he will have a better shot than in ny basement. His ultimate fate will be up to him and luck but he is out of my house and nature will take its course. I was concerned that I might have a family of mice, but I continued to put out the baited traps for an entire week and checked a couple times a day so that they didn’t inadvertently become death traps. No more mice, so I concluded this mission and called it a success. Seems rare to have only 1 but I put the traps out at first sign of a mouse and caught it quickly. Since I didn’t catch anymore and I don’t have food stored there, and this guy had been eating a bar of soap, I think he might be a new resident and I evicted him quickly so hopefully that’s the end of that for awhile. I removed the bait and cleaned out the traps and put them away for future use so that I won’t have to keep checking them. By the way a few reviews mentioned that these got messy and were hard to clean. Maybe that was a particularly filthy mouse 🐭 or a squeamish person, but mine didn’t get too messy at all. Cleaned up floor near trap easily and when I was all done, I dunked the traps in an old bucket with some water and dish soap. Swished them around and dumped water outside. Rinsed them and let them air dry. Looked pretty clean, sprayed some rubbing alcohol on them for good measure. They are plastic and pretty durable. I’d recommend giving them a try if you think you just have a small number of mice visiting and want to give them a second chance by relocating them. But if you have continued invasion or large numbers, you probably have to work on finding and sealing where they are getting in and might have to get exterminator.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works
Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2024
Oh I wish I had a picture of him or her. It worked great. I used peanut butter. Put one in the laundry room last night and caught it sometime last night. We took it to a park and let him go. It was so nice to catch it and not have to kill it or worry about smashing my fingers on the old fashioned one. I am so happy with this. Reusable, easy to use. The little end piece is a little hard to start with but once you do it a few times its easier.Day 2 got another one. Will keep putting out till I catch no more. I love this thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Efficient and Reliable
Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2024
Who knew that a small plastic container and peanut butter could be so powerful. We received our traps two days ago - set out 2 and caught 1 within hours. Released that one to a local field, moved the other one to the same place - went to bed last night and guess what?! #2 caught! Efficient, great price, sanitary, and humane. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

3.0 out of 5 stars It works really well BUT
Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2024
It works really good and peanut butter is the best . I've released them all alive and well . But after catching about 5 , one after another . One of the traps door broke and will not stay down at all for nothing and it's really sensitive . Unfortunately I am only down to one now . I do recommend this product but the quality of the clip with the door deteriorates or something. I wish they would send me another, it is a really good trap.

4.0 out of 5 stars My little houseguests really seem to like them...
Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2024
...they keep going in.
I bought a pack of two, and put one out the first night. By morning, I'd caught a mouse. I put the second one out before work that morning, and had a second mouse caught by the time I got home. I put a couple traps out again this evening, and caught a third mouse within an hour. Clearly, with the right bait, these traps are very effective. (Mice eat seeds and nuts, not cheese. Peanut butter works, but I used some of my trail mix.)
The traps are also humane, which is wonderful for an animal lover such as myself. I set the first two mice free in a field at the park and I wish them the best of luck. The latest catch is still waiting for his release (that's him in the picture).

My one complaint is how difficult they are to clean. The instructions say to just run water through them, but frightened mice can really make a smelly mess, so some kind of bottle scrubber is probably the best option.

Overall, these are easy to use and work really well.
