I ordered this tarp for use as a camping ground cloth under my tent. Opened the package up and found that there were what appeared to be knife slashes near the tarp's welded seams. Fortunately I had some heavy-duty duct tape in my kit and was able to patch so the tarp was usable after patching. This did not appear to be damage in transit or packing issue, since the vendor's packaging was still intact. Might be a manufacturer's defect. Not worth returning over since it's now patched and usable for my purposes, but I would recommend inspecting closely upon receipt. This is a heavy-duty tarp that should hold up well, provided there's no obvious defects in it like what was noted in this one.

Bought 2 4×20 to cover up my porch since it is rather long but I only needed 1 and maybe a 4x8 or something but that's my fault for not measuring correctly. Either way used both and it covers up the whole porch rather nicely (even though one tarp is used as a double. This tarp is thick and a bit heavy. Worked fine against the rain. Now I just gotta wait and see how it will hold up for the winter. All in all I recommend. Only reason I have 4 stars is because I don't know how it will hold up with the wind yet

I had a tree fall on my garage and had to cover it with the 40x60 tarp pending the repairs. I considered a couple cheap tarps from the big box store but just getting a couple of those would be about the same cost as this one, and still wouldn't be as thick in total.

When it arrived, I managed to (almost) unfold it in the yard so I could roll/fold it a certain way to make it easier to pull over the roof, so I had a good chance to inspect it all on the ground. I didn't see any tears and all of the seams were in good shape. The grommets around the perimeter all looked good although I did see an "extra" grommet in there. Might have been one that didn't get crimped in properly and wound up in the package. I didn't see any missing grommets so it definitely wasn't one that popped out in shipping.

After finally getting it on the roof (which took 3 people... this is HEAVY), I unrolled it and secured it around the side. It is THICK! Pulling it over the damaged section where I couldn't walk, I was worried it could snag on some damaged sections and tear but even though it kind of got stuck once or twice, I got it all the way over without any incident.

I was really impressed by the fact that I pulled it using a rope attached to the middle grommet and I thought for sure it would tear through or something, but that grommet was solid. It was a little bent but still good. Any other cheap tarp would have torn for sure... I have cheap tarps like that for covering wood piles or whatever and they're like tissue paper.

I did notice some of the brown coloring was a little scuffed when all was said and done. It's not artwork though, it's meant to be used, and there will be wear and tear, no big deal. When it's no longer needed, I'll fold this up and keep it around because there are still a lot of big trees around and you just never know. So I shouldn't need to buy it again but if I had to, I would, and I recommend it to anyone who has a need for a heavy duty tarp.

I have a few pieces of plywood that I use for hurricane protection, I covered them less than a year ago with a standard tarp , already started to rip from the sun, this says UV protection....true test will be time, But I will say it seems MUCH thicker and stronger that the tarp that failed.

As my father always used to say, “There are just some things you don’t want to have to purchase twice.” If you are going to purchase a tarp to protect your lawn mower, cover a hole in your roof or keep water out of any space make sure you pay attention to the thickness of the tarp; that’s what matters most. The description of this product as “Super Heavy Duty” is quite accurate and so far we are very pleased with our purchase. We were tired of buying several cheap tarps and having to tear them down every few months after a heavy storm. Now after one month and all types of heavy rain and wind in upstate New York, I think it’s safe to say this tarp is a one-time purchase.

I put this product to use very quickly because our 10mm thick Harbor Freight garage roof blew off during a storm. I purchased another garage at the same time but this tarp has worked so well, it could serve as a permanent solution. I confidentially recommend this product for multiple uses e.g., covering roof leaks, protecting spare building materials from the rain, or even covering a ride on mower or a vehicle exposed to the elements. The tarp has worked great so far and it truly is waterproof. In fact, because I had to quickly zip-tie the tarp to my temporary aluminum-tube garage frame, it sagged in a few spots and quite a bit of water was collected incidentally (see photos). The tarp has held this weight for days with no problem.

I would recommend this as an affordable and effective solution for all types of applications. It is a durable, sturdy and completely water resistant product as advertised.

These are so much better than the 10$ green crap tarps... I've had one on the shelter and it's already outlasted 2 of the green ones with very little damage. The grommets are still a weak point with high winds, and they are still punctured against sharp edges, also wind issues, but even with a hole or tear they are waaaaaaay stronger than the green ones. If I would have taken more care putting it on the shelter I don't think it would even be damaged yet. Overall pretty solid tarps, just keep in mind they are also quite a bit heavier if you are working by yourself 👍
