We own a house that was built in the late 50's. The wooden siding on the house is similar to a shake shingle but is thinner and has a rough surface. All the local homestores & lumber yards have tried to sell us a smooth shingle to repair the siding but they are not the same. The siding on the house is 18" tall, 3/8" thick at the bottom (tapered) and comes in varying widths. We believe the wood is cedar but are not sure of that. Can you recommend a source for this type of siding?
