I have a new home and there is an opening in the hallway to the attic crawl space. I would like to make use of this space for storage and would like to put a pull down ladder in the hole for convenience. The problem is that the hole is very small -- somewhere around 28 x 20. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes an attic door that small? I found one website for a place in Australia, but that's it. I know I can make the hole bigger and put a standard-sized ladder in, but I was hoping to avoid having to do that.

Any information you might have is appreciated.

First thought that comes to mind is that you might be pretty dissatisfied with such a small access. Boxes would have to precede your body, etc. I would think it difficult to use. I'd consider the enlarging idea. As for a source for the smaller door, sorry. Just an opinion.
