I had a door installed for access to my attic and now it is very cold in the room in the winter. How do I insulate the door? Or should I replace the door with an exterior door?

Insulating the opening consists of building an inverted, insulsted box over the stairway. The box is manually moved aside when accessing the attic, and is placed over the opening when leaving. the box is large enough to cover the opening and accomodate the stair.

A company that sells these has a good picture at the link below. You could buy theirs, or build your own.
